Personal Values Exercise

Discover What Drives You: A Personal Values Exercise.  Research shows that aligning your work with your personal values is a powerful driver of motivation. It’s hard to stay inspired in a job that conflicts with or fails to reflect what matters most to you. In fact, knowing your own values has a greater impact on your commitment to an organization than understanding its values.

Instructions: Read through the list of values and sort each one under the heading that fits best. Keep in mind: not all values carry the same weight. If everything is important, then nothing truly is. Stick to the limits given for each column category.  Once you’ve sorted your values, take a moment to prioritize them within each section.

Final Step: Share your Top 5 "Always Valued" and explain why they stand out as more important than the rest.
