How to Play CyberTricks
๐ฏ Objective
Win tricks using Security Controls while avoiding Vulnerability cards. The player with the LOWEST vulnerability score wins!
๐ Card Types
- โ Security Controls - Firewalls, encryption, MFA, etc. High-value cards that win tricks
- โฆ Incident Response - Detection tools, response procedures. Counter attacks effectively
- โฃ Attack Vectors - Phishing, malware, etc. Dangerous but sometimes strategic to play
- โฅ Vulnerabilities - Unpatched systems, weak passwords. AVOID THESE!
๐ฒ Security Dice Effects
- 1-2: Security Audit - Reveal opponent cards
- 3-4: Patch Management - Reduce vulnerability impact
- 5-6: Threat Intelligence - Choose any card to play
๐ฎ Gameplay
- Follow suit if possible (same card type)
- If you can't follow suit, play any card
- Highest card of the led suit wins the trick
- Security Controls beat everything when leading
- Winner of trick leads next round
๐ Scoring
- Each Vulnerability card = +1 penalty point
- Critical vulnerabilities (face cards) = +2 points
- Security Controls deployed = bonus protection
- Lowest total vulnerabilities wins!
